Philadelphia Street Style: Lawrence, 16th St

I caught up to Lawrence on the corner of Chestnut and 16th. He was walking with a woman carrying balloons, and I was so focused on getting his picture that I didn't notice that they said "Happy Birthday" on them. Truth be told, I didn't notice the balloons at all. When I'm patrolling the streets, I get so focused on style, I often don't notice all sorts of other obvious things around me: friends of mine I pass, cars coming straight in my direction. She had to tell me it was her birthday to even get me to notice. Sorry! And happy belated birthday! I am not good at multi-tasking.

Lawrence, in this picture, is wearing a denim jacket from Forever 21, a shirt from Urban Outfitters, a scarf from a boutique on Chestnut called Laila Rowe, fake leather pants from Forever 21, and Adidas sneakers. He describes his style as "trendy urban" and listen mostly to hip hop and R&B. When I asked him who in particular he was listening to these days, he told me "Miguel," and added that he was his style inspiration as well.
