Beach shorts have made a surprising appearance in urban fashion this summer. I'm not sure what to say about it, but I think Aaron pulls it off.
Bicycles give a subject instant stylistic credibility on street style blogs. I'm not entirely sure why. But I'll tell you what, people look immediately cooler when they're on bikes. Get one. It will do wonders for your look. Not to mention what it does for the environment and relieving urban congestion. I now have a Pinterest board dedicated to documenting the phenomenon. Other things that make people look instantly cooler: thick-framed glasses, headphones, leather messenger bags, twirly-ended mustaches. Bonus points for vintage bikes.
I've noticed this trend in Hawaiian shorts too...but I have noticed a bigger trend in Philly this summer: beach cruisers. Last night in W. Philly counted 3 in a one-block radius. Could it be the next iteration in the single-track, brake-less bike trend?
